The found-money math

What do no-shows cost you?

Industry experience puts no-shows at 20–30% of appointments without reminders, and under 10% with reminders and deposits. Those are our planning figures — the calculator runs on your numbers.

Not sure? Without reminders, 20–30% is the typical planning range.
Back on the book, per week
$454
if reminders and deposits bring your no-show rate to 9%
Missed appointments today 15.0 / week
Lost revenue today $825 / week
Recovered per year $23,608
How this is calculated — and what it isn’t. Missed appointments = chairs × appointments × your no-show rate; the recovery assumes reminders and deposits bring that rate to 9% (if yours is already lower, the calculator won’t invent a gain). The 20–30% and under-10% figures are planning assumptions from industry experience, not a study we can cite — which is exactly why the inputs are yours to set. Once you’re running on Parlor, your real before/after no-show rate is in your reports; that number, not this page, is the one that matters.

Stop estimating it. Measure it.

Email reminders and deposits are on from your first booking — text reminders are activating as carrier registration completes — and your real no-show number lands in the reports.
