Do I need a credit card to start?

No. You start with just an email — the free trial runs 14 days, and we’ll remind you before anything renews.

What does Parlor cost beyond the monthly price?

Your subscription is one flat monthly price — no per-seat or add-on fees. Separately, every payment you process carries a flat 3.45% — deposits, checkout, tips, and no-show fees alike — deducted from each payout, with card processing included, so there’s no separate Stripe fee stacked on top. You’ll always know what a payment nets you.

How do deposits actually stop no-shows?

Set a deposit for your studio — a percentage of the ticket or a flat amount, and you can override it per service. Clients pay it through Stripe at the moment they book, before the appointment ever lands on your calendar. When skipping an appointment costs something, far fewer people skip.

What happens to my existing client book?

It comes with you. Export your client list from your old system — Vagaro, GlossGenius, and Square exports are recognized automatically — and drop the file on the Clients page. Parlor shows you a dry-run preview (“N new, M merged, K skipped”) before anything is saved; most lists land in about ten minutes. Appointment history is the one piece we handle with you — send us the file and we’ll import it together, free.

Do my clients need to download an app?

No. Your booking page is a link — drop it in your Instagram bio or a text. Clients tap it, pick a time, and pay their deposit. No account, no app.

Can I cancel? What happens to my data?

Cancel anytime from Settings — no phone call, no retention script. Your studio’s records stay put, and you can reactivate whenever you’re ready.
