This page explains our policy in plain language. It is not legal advice. Please review it with your own lawyer before relying on it.
This policy explains what information Lunar Engineering, LLC (“Parlor,” “we,” “us”) collects when you use Parlor, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It covers the salon, barbershop, and studio owners who subscribe to Parlor, and the people who work with them.
When you sign up and run your business on Parlor, we collect the information you give us and the information your account creates as you use the product. This includes:
We use this information to run the service for you: to show your calendar, take bookings, keep your client records, send reminders, and provide support. Your client data belongs to you — we act on your behalf and do not sell it.
Payments are processed by Stripe, our payment provider. Parlor does not store full card numbers. When you or your clients enter card details, that information goes directly to Stripe, which is built to handle card data securely. We receive only limited information back, such as whether a payment succeeded, the last four digits of a card, and the card brand — never the full card number.
Stripe handles your payment information under its own privacy practices. We recommend reading Stripe’s privacy policy to understand how it processes payments.
We use cookies and similar tools to keep you signed in, remember your settings, and understand how Parlor is used so we can improve it. Analytics help us see which features are working and where people get stuck. This data is mostly about how the product is used, not about the content of your bookings.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Turning off some cookies may mean parts of Parlor no longer work as expected — for example, you may be signed out more often.
From time to time we may send you emails or text messages about Parlor — product updates, tips, and offers. You can opt out at any time. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and you can reply STOP to marketing texts to stop receiving them.
Opting out of marketing messages does not stop important service messages — for example, billing notices, security alerts, or messages needed to run your account.
We share information only as needed to run Parlor. That can include:
We do not sell your personal information.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and for a limited time after you cancel, so you can export your data or reopen your account. After that, we delete or de-identify it, unless we are required to keep it longer. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for what happens to your data when you cancel.
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, such as encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe and to respond quickly if something goes wrong.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see, correct, export, or delete your personal information. You can update much of your information right inside Parlor. For other requests, contact us at [email protected] and we will help.
We may update this policy as Parlor changes. When we make a meaningful change, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app or by email.
