Parlor now warns you when you book a service on a day it is not offered.

Booking

  • Outside service days is a new warning when you book, reschedule or add a waitlist booking for a service on a day it is not offered. A service is not offered on a day when it has booking days and times set and none fall on that day. Under Date, a line names the service and the days it is offered. If you go ahead anyway, the warning lists the days it is offered and the next date it is available, and keeps everything you entered.
    • Owners and admins choose Change date or Book anyway. Book anyway books it now and the client is notified.
    • Other team members choose Change date or Send for approval. The time is held until an owner or admin answers.
    • Rescheduling, or creating a recurring series, outside service days is for owners and admins only. Other team members see Change date and a note to ask an owner or admin.
    • Booking from your public booking page is unchanged. It already only offers times inside a service’s days.
  • Text me from Lunar Engineering about appointments I book on Parlor is the new wording of the text opt-in on the Details step of your booking page. Lunar Engineering is the company that sends the texts, and carriers check that name against the registered company. The rest of the wording is the same: a confirmation, a reminder about 24 hours before, and any changes. Text reminders are activating as carrier registration completes.
  • The line beneath it now says Lunar Engineering will not sell or share the client’s mobile number with third parties for marketing.
  • When a client picks a time that has just gone, the notice now says the time is no longer available. It used to say it was just taken. Their details are kept and they pick another time.

Waitlist

  • Joining your waitlist from the booking page shows the same text opt-in and fine print.

Today

  • Outside service days now appears on a request in the Requests card. It names the team member who asked. Only owners and admins see Approve and Decline on it.
  • A booking made this way shows Waiting for approval until someone answers. After that it shows Booked outside service days with who approved it and when. A declined or expired request says so, and the time is released.
