A new studio can skip setup steps and come back to them.
Getting started
Signing up starts with Your details and Your studio, before the sign-in email, and what you typed is still there when you come back from the link. Each step says whether it’s Required or Optional. After Create studio, services, hours, team and payments can wait: choose Do later and finish them from the Finish setting up checklist on the dashboard.
Studio types are Salon, Barbershop, Spa, Tattoo & Piercing, and Pet Grooming.
If you take payment in person only, I don’t need online payments on the checklist is saved to the studio, not just to the browser you clicked it in.
Terms of Service
A new studio is created only after its owner ticks I agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Existing studios show “This studio hasn’t accepted the current Terms of Service.” to the owner, with an Accept button. Settings → Studio shows the date and version you accepted.
Booking page
The checkboxes clients see when they book or join the waitlist are grouped under Optional (appointment emails, appointment texts, marketing texts) and Required (the Terms and Privacy Policy, plus the deposit and card-on-file agreements when they apply). Confirm stays disabled until the required boxes are ticked.
Marketing texts have their own box, unticked by default, separate from appointment texts. Staff see the client’s choice as Marketing texts on the client page. Parlor records both consents now; text messages are activating as carrier registration completes.
Fixes
The deposit checkbox said paying the deposit saved the client’s card. It now reads “I agree to pay the $X deposit to hold this appointment.”
Two fee attempts on the same appointment at the same moment, such as a no-show and a cancel, could charge the client’s card twice. An appointment carries one fee at most.
